We are an inclusive, spiritual community that welcomes people of all faiths – or no faiths - from all walks of life.
We celebrate the unique expression of life that is us: just as we are, and just as we are not. We don't care what you look like or who you love. Our doors are open to all who seek something different in a spiritual home.
Our mission is to help people dream bigger, work smarter, love deeper and do better in every part of their life through the elevation of their consciousness.
Ours is a teaching / application ministry. In other words, we want to help you learn / un-learn so that you may build a better foundation for living and making significant progress in your life. In short:
Learn. Apply. Change. Grow.
We don't get caught up in dogma or beat you over the head with a set of rules or "holy laws" to follow. In fact, our philosophy is pretty dogma-free.
Frequently Asked Questions
"Do you believe in God?"
That's not really a focus for us. If you want "God," there are lots of other more "traditional" churches for you to attend that will tell you what they think "God" thinks and how their version of "God" believes you should be living your life. We're not saying that's "right" or "wrong," "good" or "bad." We're saying that's not us.
If there IS a "God," we don't believe we're separate from that "God." We believe we're imbued with the same God-like, creative powers to make positive change in our life and improve our communities and the world.
If there ISN'T a "God," we still believe we have creative powers to make positive change in our life and improve our communities and the world. So, whether there IS or ISN't a "God" is irrelevant to us, and not a point of focus. What's true for us is that all roads lead back to you. If you want to improve your life, it's up to you.
If you want to improve your community or the world, it's up to you!
Do you have a "holy book" you read from?
Not really. There isn't ONE book of wisdom or knowledge or spiritual insight we rely on. We believe that knowledge, insight, wisdom, etc... comes in many forms, many shapes and sizes and from many different sources. Sometimes we may quote the Bible. Sometimes we may quote the Qur'an, Bhagavad Gita, Kabbalah, or other traditional religious texts. Sometimes we may reference Ernest Holmes, Dr. Howard Thurman, Gandhi, Emma Curtis Hopkins, OSHO, Obi Wan Kenobi or Yoda. If there is something helpful in the passage or text, we will use it. We're not bound by ONE particular point of view or belief system. We don't want to be. That would be limiting, and you can't elevate your consciousness from a narrow, unchanging point of view.
"Are LGBT people welcome in your church?"
Absolutely! Why wouldn't they be? We don't believe that homosexuality is a "lifestyle choice" any more than heterosexuality is. That's why we don't swear allegiance to a book that says who you are or who you love is "evil" or a "sin." In fact, our first wedding ceremony was of two gay men in San Francisco. (The service was beautiful!)
"What's with the multi-colored logo? Does that represent the "rainbow flag" used by LGBT groups?"
No. The colors represent the different Chakras in the body. If we are to "UP!" our consciousness, we must UP! every aspect of our being: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc... Each aspect of our being must be nurtured and fed.
"I saw something about the "Rule of Love." What's that?"
Many societies around the world are governed by the “rule of law”. The “rule of law” is a legal maxim that states no person is immune to law.
The problem with that is throughout history, the powerful, the privileged and sometimes the prejudiced have written the laws. The law is merely a reflection of the consciousness of those who author it. Lower-level consciousness = lower-level laws; laws that favor the few, while sometimes ignoring or harming the many. The laws are being applied unevenly so as to feed the pipeline to the growing for-profit prison industry. If we operated under the "Rule of Love," such a pipeline wouldn't exist, or even be possible.
Our goal is to help raise individual consciousness, which, in turn, helps raise collective consciousness. By raising our consciousness, we can begin to right many of the wrongs we have inflicted on others and usher in a new era where we value planet & people; where we work to ensure equality for ALL people and guarantee that all basic life needs are met for everyone: food, clothing, shelter, health care, education, energy, water, etc...
Our work will include services, community and business outreach programs and ministries, charitable causes and direct assistance to those in need. If everyone helps, everyone succeeds.
